"...they loved not their lives..."
We had an opportunity to witness a water baptism of around 150 people or so from the village. From the place where it was announced and called to participate in the baptism to the actual river shown here it was about a mile to walk. The significance of this is that the people who made that decision that day to be paraded through the village streets for the sake of showing their dedication to Christ where knowingly subjecting themselves to persecution from their families and fellow villagers. By doing so, many are beaten, rejected, and ostracized by others and even their own families!
"And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb, and by the word of their testimony; and they loved not their lives unto the death." Rev 12:11
