"KEEP ON WORKING"
God is, was, and always will be a worker.
Genesis 2:2 says "And on the seventh day God ended his work which He had made: and He rested on the seventh day from all His work which He had made. (It doesn't say He went fishing, dranked beer, worked on his vehicle or any other chore) But this is another message.
One day this week while running errands I noticed someone who captured my attention, as I drove to my next point of destination in fairly heavy traffic on the loop that goes around the city. I looked out my window and off to the side of this busy highway there was a subdivision of what looked to be (not fancy) but modest homes. The back of these homes were toward this highway I was traveling. There behind one home was one of the most beautiful, but small garden I'd ever seen. All the rows were in neat, straight order. No grass! All of the various kinds of plants were healthy, perky, and loaded with their produce. What a beautiful garden!! Just enough sunlight. There at the end of the row under the shade of a large oak tree sat an old farmer in his overalls with a straw hat on his head. He had his hoe in his hand. My eyes scanned the area and I retained a mental picture of him, his garden and the look of pleasure on his face. He had been working in his garden. The fruit of his labor was beautiful and abundant.
God believed in working. He said in His word, "2Thess. 3:10 "that if any would not work he should NOT eat."
He also said, in Rev. 22: 12 " And behold I come quickly and my reward is with me to give every man acciording as his work shall be.
God believed in physical ans spiritual labor. Now if God believes in and sanctions work why should anyone be rewarded for not working?
Therefore: Unless someone is disabled, bedridden or physically challengded to where they are totally unable to work then they should work! Welfare and society assistance would be ONLY for those who are deemed disabled or totally unable, Why should people be rewarded for being slothful (or lazy)? They are stealing funds and America allows it! These lazy bums are frauding the hard working citizens of America.
If God said Work and he did say that, then people who are lazy thieves should be forced to work and NOT be handed a check for their disobedience!! (God said it I didn't, but I agree with my God!)
***So as I went on my way that day, I prayed for that old man who worked so hard to make a beautiful garden. He looked satisfied, happy and content.
O BY THE WAY ( I failed to say) HE WAS SITTING ON A WHEEL CHAIR!! HE WAS HOEING AND WORKING HIS GARDEN FROM A WHEEL CHAIR!!!!!!!
Where there's determination and will (God's will) anyone can do anything. NO LIMITS!
Matt. 19:26 says with God all things are possible.
I'll probably never see that old man again but I sure do admire him and I'm so thankful God allowed me to see him, his garden and his stamina. Today I will pray for him again............
