GENESIS 19:15-16
The word lingered in the heb means properly to question or hesitate.
Lot didn't refuse to obey, yet he lingered (hesitated). Most have never heard the term in this modern church" sin away your day of grace". Esau sold his birthright in Genesis 25 in the OT. But the new testament says in Hebrews 12:16... Esau, who for one morsel of meat sold his birthright. In verse 17 ... for he found no place of repentance, though he sought it carefully with tears. There was no forgiveness for him! If we contuine to sin then there remain no sacrifice for our sins, Hebrews 10:26. The term " sin away our day of grace" means to keep on doing wrong and the Spirit and the Word pulling at our hearts. There is a cutting off place and we just don't hear this anymore- and we should. Lot obey God but lingered and had to be force out of a city where judgment was fixing to fall and destory everything. Study his life after this, it was down hill from there. Drunkness, incest and his off spring are still to this day haters of God people. Please don't try to tell me lingering will not cost you, because it will. It cost Lot everything. I know the NT calls him just and righteous (2 Pet:7-8) where he got it right, I don't know, but at one point he is backslidden. In fact it was Abraham's prayer and fellowship with God the reason Lot was spared. Some think they can do anything and be saved or born-again-not so. We must come out frome the world and be ye a seprated people. Not talking about what we wear or where we go. There are a lot sitting in church pews- that never go to beer joint or what we refer to as worldly places. They are still in the world, back biting, lying and full of hatred and all sorts of works of the flesh. Many have callings on their lifes and are lingering. God has dealt with some to sows seeds for the work of the Lord and they are lingering. There are some anointed to sing and there lingering. Now I am not talking about these people who get up and say "I can't sing" and then sing three songs to prove it and kill the service. We each need to know our calling and operate in that gift or calling. There are some if they would just take a step of faith, you would be amazed at what God would do. The first time I preached after a six month battle with fasting and praying and lingering. I was terrified, with knees shaking and sick to my stomach. For the first time I walked into a pulpit. After a few minutes (that seemed like hours) the anointing came with my help and strength. That same anointing has taken me to churches, tents, radio and TV as well as across waters into places I didn't even know existed. God was wanting to help Lot, that's why the angels where there. His plans are for good and not evil for us! If God is dealing with you about something and you are lingering, just remember there is a blessings with your name on it. A miracle for you or someone else and more joy than you can comprehend. God could force us, but He rather we surrender to Him and His plans. At times we know we need to make things right with someone, but we linger. To tell someone we love them and we linger till it's to late. We are in a late hour and we must get up and move. We just can't afford to linger any longer. If there is something God wants you to do as Nike says it "JUST DO IT"! You will feel better, sleep better and the benfits are out of this world. let's be about the Father business. Don't worry about if you can do it or it can be done, if we yield to Him and His plans IT WILL WORK OUT! from a missionary's heart, Bro Joey

John 9:4 I must work the works of him that sent me, while it is day: the night cometh, when no man can work.
A few years ago while preaching in an local radio station, I went in an open vision! Now I have only had a few of these in the 30's some years that I have served God. He deals with me more in night visions or dreams. While I was standing there I looked up and there was a clock hanging on the wall, like there was many years ago when I was in school. The hands of that clock began to turn at a very high speed, the only way I can put it into words is like the blades of a fan turning very fast. I heard in my spirit the scripture verse of John 9:4. That's why I leave my family and home for days on end, and run into country after country telling the Good News. We are living at a point of time like no other in church history.When the church should be rejoicing for we are soon going home, and Jesus could return for his bride. Yet it's a time when you have to beg preachers to preach, teachers to teach and singers to sing. It seem as if no one want to work in the Lord's house! I believe that the SPIRIT OF HEAVINESS has attacked the body of Christ like never before. The original word for spirit of heaviness usually means FAINT, FEEBLE, and WEAK. In Isaiah 61:3 it refers to one who is depressed and faint, if this does not sound like a lot of the body of Christ, I don't know what does.So many cares of life are choking the word right out of us. It's seem as if there are just not enought hours in a day. Does anyone understand or know what I am talking about. The sad thing is it's everywhere. It does not matter what land or country that your in, this spirit is working. For the spirit of heaviness, He our God, his Son and Sweet Spirit has given us a garment of praise! I say this a lot that there are two times to praise the Lord.1) When you feel like it 2) When you don't feel like it, amen! Some of our greatest battle can be won by our praise. Reference- 2 Choronicles 20:17:22 read this great text of scripture. Someone may say, I don't dance in the alses of the church, or run and jump and that's ok. (you don't know what your missing-lol- let go and let God) Some just raise there hands, while others may be a gentle amen or a tear running down their cheek. Which every way you praise Him, just do it with all your might and a whole heart. I have learned from my travels, everyone don't dress alike or worship just the same, but the same gentle, mighty presents of God shows up! No matter how things are going in your life or what giants you may be facing right now. He said he would never leave you or forsake you, so it's settled we are not alone, but a KING is with us and we shall see victory. You and myself are ordain to win, if we hold fast. Night is on it's way and is here, let's get about the Father business. There is someone you can help, you can encourage, that you can help up that has fallen. Is this not really what it's all about grace- love- and mercy.
