Reconnecting, God says, whatever a man thinketh in his heart so he is.
I recently connected with old friends again through the internet. It was great. I am however disappointed that a friend I had for years did not respond to my friend request. It’s actually kind of hurtful to think that I didn’t matter to her anymore. I was not as important to her as I thought I was. I’ve had other friendships that just withered away for whatever reason. I don’t know if it was my fault or not because they have left those questions unanswered and the situations unresolved.
It’s hard to let go of friendships that mattered to me. I spent years with these people and was there for them in more than one situation. I wish they would at least tell me what happened or if it was something I did. But there’s no answer at all. No response. It was just left empty..
It has lately consumed my thinking. But I know I must move onto other things. I need to go forward, because I know the answer will never come. That’s ok and I can live with that. Things sometimes change in other people’s lives and we are no longer important to them. Priorities change. That is just the way life is sometimes.
We have to rediscover ourselves, rebuild ourselves and renew our minds and find ways to move forward so that we don’t end up stuck like this. In light of this, it’s just their way of not dealing with the situation. They don’t know how to handle it or don’t want to give the reason why.
Well, if you are in the same situation as I am or have been, I know you can find the confidence in yourself to rediscover new things as I have. There is always something out there that you can discover and become a part of. I’ve always considered myself optimistic and always have been. Sure things in life get me down. But never for very long. I refuse to let other people’s misery affect my optimism. That’s the way that you can think of things too.
God says, whatever a man thinketh in his heart so he is.
That can’t be more true.
Deuteronomy 13:3
you must not listen to the words of that prophet or dreamer. The LORD your God is testing you to find out whether you love him with all your heart and with all your soul.
