I love your Post, it really blessed me a lot. Thank you for sharing those scriptures. I will meditate on Jeremiah 23:16 some more. So many times people let us down and I have to admit I have been a dissapointment at times as well and yes it was exactly for those reasons you mentioned. Thank God we are under his grace and receive new mercies every day. God is so patient with us and allows us new mercies every day. It is never to late to come back to the light and get back to the path that leads to life. This topic really brings up so much on the inside of me, to much to share but thank you for Post.

The Unhappy "gay" agenda doesn't tell you that the average life span of a male is 39 and a woman is 42...

that 21% of them have made suicide plans, 12% of them had made attempts.

most have a very low self esteem, and suffer from depression. only 1% die of old age.

thats something the surgeon general hasn't put a warning label on... but god forbid you ear too many eggs...

being gay is not natural!

most are coming to their senses and getting out of the lifestyle.

only 3% of americans are gay.

Hey missjen92,

I appreciate the way you approached this subject. Yes, some people will believe and read "what they want to" when it comes to ministry figures like Mac Hammond, but there is never any harm in asking the question.

Sometimes Christians are hesitant to ask a question such as yours...and now you can see why! It's too bad that we get miss-understood at times or accused of saying things we didn't. Anyway, I hope you found enough information to put your mind at ease about this subject. The bottom line is that the IRS is breaking its own rule in the way they are approaching Living Word and asking Mac Hammond to hand over all various financial documents. Pastor Hammond is not against the audit itself, but he says if the church has to abide by the law regarding the audit, then he expects the IRS to abide by the law as well and not strong-arm the church into doing something in a way that is against the law.

I agree with you that Pastor Hammond is a good man. As far as the "things" he has, well...that is his business. Some people think Pastors should not have anything...that's nothing more than religious thinking. It becomes a dangerous thing when people start judging the "needs" of others. No one can determine what one person needs...even though many, many try to do this. The way I look at it...it's between him and God and that's good enough for me.

Yes and I agree with you it's all about learning - and that was why I stressed my points the way that I did. So that hopefully people would understand that I'm not out to get people. I'm not out there to slander anyone.

All I wanted was the facts and that's what I got. That's all my intent was to do. And I do appreciate that.

But as I also mentioned to that I am done now with the researcing. And moving on to another subject like this one. Having our needs met.

I think it is great that we can express ourselves without feeling guilty or that we did something wrong. There is so much personal information out there.

A lot of people are just looking for help, and sometimes you can't really get around the fact of being personal with what it is you need help with. Because sometimes that's the only way you can express things is by being personal about it.

I heard today that a famous guy I don't know I think it was a musician had committed suicide. He lost his battle with depression.

I don't know how much more personal you can get than that. I do appreciate what you are trying to say and I do understand that We are here to try to build our faith walks.

My faith walk is getting stronger all the time because of the encouragement that I am getting. It reaffirms my faith in God.

I don't know how anyone can deny that there is not a God?

Missjen92...We do understand. We are all still learning and are at different levels of spiritual growth...so we do need to understand that some may have insight, while others do not. That is what I like about Cfaith. It is more of an atmosphere of a kindred spirit than some other sites.

We have had some individuals come on the Cfaith site with an antagonistic spirit and really their whole purpose was not to contribute but rather to cause strife ,division and to attack. It is usually of the nature of attacking the Charismatic/WOF teachings. It apppears that after a time they leave the site or their post/blogs are deleted by the Cfaith Admin. This should never be a forum where we can just ventilate every thought that comes to our mind. The tongue is often a very destructive instrument but in the spirit of love it can do mighty things to help and change lives.

But overall, we appreciate the atmoshere of learning, sharing, encouraging and edifying each other in our walk of faith. I believe it is important to glean what we can from this site and become better servants for the glory of God. In the true nature of God's Word, "iron sharpens iron." And, ultimately, we disire to more Christlike and help fulfill the Great Commission!

Well I just wanted to espress what my thoughts were at the time myself. I have a right to express my thoughts too.

Again I am not trying to attack anyone. But I kind of felt like I had to defend myself a little bit.

I have felt like I repeated myself quite a few times in my statements. I'm not the one who wrote the things that were in the papers.

Yes, I did repeat it. But you or no one else should be mad at me. You should be mad at the papers for writing those things.

Sure, maybe some of it is inaccurate, but some of it is also true information. Like the backtaxes. That's all I'm saying. Yes we all make mistakes. Sometimes things are out of our control.

I'm not saying Mac is a bad guy either. I know he's not. Just some people may think that he has too much for a pastor of a church. More than he needs.

But I think for now I am going to drop the subject and move onto other writings.

I am done with researching the investigation now. I've gathered enough information.

We do not need to fight. I am just posting my thoughts. It is a blog. When we post a comment or thought don't we open ourselves up to what someone else thinks? We cannot control what others post. The accept what helps and leave the rest theory could be applied...if nothing I said helps...well...leave it lol.

I do not want to sound like I have all the answers...not the case. My comments may seem harsh but I am not intending to be mean.

I am not implying your stupid...not at all. I did not understand how, as a member, you missed the special service, email or the letter. Maybe your new or whatever but hey I was in logical mode.

I am not a bad guy and do not want to be an enemy...brother and sister we are...but I guess you don't have to like me...smile.

Great. Believe me I am carefull of what I do post. I did read that he did pay his taxes back. I think now that my faith has been restored. I know the media likes to feed on these things and I didn't know as much as everyone else does.

But I just had to find out for myself.

Hey there -

I'm glad you're taking time to research what you've heard in the media.

A few thoughts to pass on ~ I'd encourage you to be careful of how you read and understand articles from the media (in this case, the Star Tribune). They put a slant on what they write to insinuate certain things they want to believe. Someone could rewrite the article and present the same information, but use different words and you'd walk away with a completely different perspective on the situation.

In regards to the back taxes you read about, I can pass on a little of what I know. Pastor Mac wasn't purposefully not paying the IRS. As soon as he realized he had missed these certain taxes, he assumed the payment he owed and payed it back diligently over the next ten years. He wasn't avoiding taxes by any stretch of the imagination.

You both are right...to a degree. The facts are out there to be researched. But we must be careful where we get our "facts" because most local city newspapers do not get it right and it is often completely wrong. Other liberal sights including national media sites are totally biased. I often go directly to the "horse's mouth" as in KCM's site and get exactly what they have said and are doing on the issue.

And as was said, the local church also has good info on issues.

And, Cfaith, is also a good place to bone up on the issues with the info and resources we have. Either way, we love you, Missjen92 and keep up your diligence .
