second grandchild will be here soon!

Hello everybody!!
We are counting down the days till my daughter's baby is born.  Actually she was due aug 8th but she is already dilated to 4 cm so the doctor said, "any time now"  WHoo Hoo!!  This has been a very busy summer for us--so sorry I haven't taken the time to write!!  My first granbaby is now 7 weeks old and about to catch up to newborn size.  He has an appt Monday so we'll find out how much he weighs, then.  I have been helping out with housework and babysitting.  And I did manage to get away for 4 days of vacation (camping).  Will keep you posted, as the saying goes...

Great news...Shasta!  And I am sure you didn't go camping in the Land of OZ.(lol)  Probably some place a little more interesting. :-)

Our grandchildren will triple by the end of the year.  Our only grandchild is just now two but she will be getting a little sister in September and then our other daughter will be having their first, a girl in December.  Girls, girls and more girls and we could not be happier.  On the other side of my second daughter's (husband) family, they have six grandsons...so, Matt's family are elated over their first granddaughter!!!

Sounds like you are having a wonderful time enjoying your new grandson and I am sure you are a blessing to him.

Thanks for your comment.Yeah, we went camping here in WA- out on teh Olympic Peninsula--the farthest Western point of the WA/USA, also Neah Bay, Cape Flattery- which is the farthest North western point of the WA/USA.  Didn't want to get too far away from home due to the baby coming soon-didn't want to miss it, LOL!  I was born in Wichita,Kansas, but I can't remember when was the last time I was back there.  My Mom still lives in SW Missouri and I haven't been back to see her since Aug 06--such a busy life we live!

Yeah, my grandson is a cutie and I am enjoying spending time with him!
