Don't try so hard. God let's you hear Him when He feels it necessary. When our minds are striving they are too preoccupied to hear God - even when it's His voice we're striving to hear. So relax, know that He Is in control, be obedient, and make sure you hear Him in Scripture.

This is the second time I've heard this story, and I believe that God speaks to us in various ways. My problem if I may is I can't recall ever hearing God's voice and this has bothered me for five years as I've prayed and wepted bitterly while asking God to let me hear His voice in some small way. Nothing seems to help and I've exhausted myself trying to read everything I could get my hands on to understand how God may speak in this final hour. I guess I should stop trying to hear Him speak. I don't know what else I can possibly do to recognize that God is probably speaking to me all the time, except I just don't hear Him. My faith is low because of this. Any suggestions please feel free to let me know. Many thanks and God bless you.
