Creating a blog post is one of the most commonly used features of CFAITH Communities. The instructions below provide a step-by-step walkthrough on creating a new blog post. If you have an existing blog post that you would like to make changes to, see the topic "

Note: To create a new blog post, you must be signed in with your username and password.
»Step 1: From anywhere on the CFAITH Communities website, click on the "Control Panel" link in the upper navigation menus. If you can't see the link, you're not logged in. Log in, and then restart this step.
»Step 2: Click on "Manage Blog"
»Step 3: Click on the "Write a Blog Post" menu item under the "Common Tasks" menu.
»Step 4: Give your post a title by typing something in the "Title" field. Then, in the "Body" field, type the content of your post. As you can see (we highlighted it), typing a post in CFAITH Communities is easy--in fact, it's just like working with Microsoft Word.
Note: At any time, you can click the "Preview" tab to see what your post is going to look like.
You may be wondering what goes in the "Tags" field. Well, think of tags as keywords for the 21st Century. You can put any number of tags in the "Tags" field that you think would help other members find your post. For example, if it was about brocoli, asparagus, and corn, you would type: "Brocoli; Asparagus; Corn" (without the quotes). You can see that each "tag" is separated by a semicolon.
Finally, on to the options at the bottom:

Save and Continue Writing: Saves your post and allows you continue working on it; your post is not live on the Web (it hasn't been published yet, so other members can't view it).

Save, but don't Publish: Saves your post so you can come back to it another time. It is not viewable by other members at this time.

Publish: Makes your post live on the Web. The "Publish" button makes your post viewable by other members.

»Step 5: After you have saved your post by clicking the "Publish" button, your post will be visible in the listing on the "Manage Content --> All Posts" page. It is also viewable by all other members & visitors to CFAITH Communities.
