Since CFAITH Communities is a free service (that anyone can join), it is inevitable that somebody will join who doesn't really want to be a part of our community. Instead, they may want to just poke fun at our site, other members, other ministers, or Christianity in general. They may also join just to try and post inappropriate material. While we as a staff do the best possible job to monitor/moderate the site, we won't catch everything. But as our community grows, we expect our members to "step it up" and help us moderate the site. After all, it's
your community, and we need everyone's help in keeping it clean!
That said, there are a couple different ways to handle abuse, depending on what part of the site you're in:
Report abuse from a forum post
If someone writes a forum post that you feel is offensive, inappropriate, derogatory, defamatory, {insert negative adjective here}, or just way off-topic, you can let the administrators know so we can take appropriate action. Within the forum post, just click on "Report Abuse" in the lower right-hand corner, like this:
Give your message a subject, and provide a brief description of why you found the particular post offensive.
Note: The post in question will automatically be forwarded along with your message, so you do not need to copy the post you are reporting.
When you're done, click "Post."

Note: Abuse reports are only viewable by administrators.
Report an inappropriate photo
If you see a photo that you find offensive, right click on the photo and select "Copy Image Location" in FireFox or "Copy Shortcut" Internet Explorer.

Note: If "Copy Shortcut" is not available in Internet Explorer, simply copy the link location from the browser's address bar, like this:

Now, go to the home page. On the upper right-hand side, under the "Member Tools" box, click "Report Abuse."

In the "Subject" field, type whatever you want. Underneath "Message," paste the URL of the photo that you copied earlier. That way, the administrators can know exactly where the photo is. You may also type a brief description of why you found the photo offensive, if you wish. Click "Post" to report the photo to the administrators.

After you click "Post," you can see what your message will look like.
Report abuse about a blog post
The steps for reporting a blog post are exactly the same as for photos. Simply copy the URL of the blog post that you wish to report from your browser's address bar.

Then, go to the home page. On the upper right-hand side, under the "Member Tools" box, click "Report Abuse."

In the "Subject" field, type whatever you want. Underneath "Message," paste the URL of the blog post that you copied earlier. That way, the administrators can know exactly where the blog post is. You may also type a brief description of why you found the post offensive, if you wish. Click "Post" to report the blog post to the administrators.
