SIMPLIFYING YOUR LIFE: LIVING ON PURPOSE

Ask almost any person you know the simple question of “How’s it going?” and you can almost be guaranteed that somewhere within their answer, they’ll say they are “busy.” In fact, in many ways, being busy has become a measurement of our self-worth. Whether it’s with work, activities with our kids, household duties and even church projects, we have become a society that prides itself on being busy for busy’s sake.

Most Christians who are living this way know, deep down inside, that something isn’t right. They know that something must change. They sense that living this way is costing them something, they’re just not sure what and how much. This is not how God intended life to be....

But Martha was distracted with much serving, and she approached Him and said, “Lord, do You not care that my sister has left me to serve alone? Therefore tell her to help me.” And Jesus answered and said to her, “Martha, Martha, you are worried and troubled about many things. But one thing is needed, and Mary has chosen that good part, which will not be taken away from her.”

DARE TO DREAM: BREAKING THROUGH NATURAL LIMITS

God has placed a dream inside of each of us. Paul is saying in 1 Corinthians 2:9 that we cannot even imagine or comprehend, naturally speaking, the things God has prepared for us. He has a marvelous destiny planned just each one of us. It is so unique that He says no eye has seen it nor ear heard it. The dream God reveals to our hearts will be different for everyone, depending on individual gifts, talents and abilities

Eye has not seen, nor ear heard, nor have entered into the heart of man the things which God has prepared for those who love Him.

‘THE CLASSICS’: FAITH COMES BY HEARING...

Our believing God, our faith, is what causes us to be able to walk through darkness and still be light. Faith affects every area of our lives. It is what enables us to be surrounded by sickness and isease and still be healed. Faith is what enables us to walk through danger, storms, and threatening situations unharmed.

Faith doesn't come by watching the news, reading the newspaper or having lunch with friends and talking about how bad things are. Faith comes by hearing the Word of God. The God kind of faith generates spiritual power and blessing. It's believing before you can see or feel a natural manifestation. It's the kind you want to have. It comes by hearing the Word of God and believing it!

So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.

Walking in Health: Following God's Laws

Medical journals, health magazines, doctors, and fitness experts all agree that in order for people to live healthy lives, they must be health conscious. We should certainly be aware of what we eat, seeing to it that we have balanced diets and exercise regularly. But we need to mix health-consciousness with what God has to say about our health and healing.

God wants us in perfect health. Why? So we are physically able to fulfill the great commission. Third John 2 states that God wishes above all things that we would prosper and be in health. Are you able to do what God calls you to do whenever He calls you to do it?

Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.

Grace: God's Gift to You

We all need God’s grace so that we can do everything that He has called us to do. But, there is a tendency in Christian life to lean on our own ability to accomplish God's plans, rather than leaning on His ability. But grace empowers us to do God's will, God's way!

But the free gift is not like the offense. For if by the one man's offense many died, much more the
grace of God and the gift by the grace of the one Man, Jesus Christ, abounded to many.

The Suffering Question: Understanding Hard Times

Sometimes we get so used to hearing sermons about being blessed all the time, that we don’t want to hear anything about suffering. It’s true that blessings and prosperity do belong to us as citizens of the kingdom of God—and it is wonderful to follow Jesus and live in that kingdom.

But it is not always fun. Sometimes it is difficult and painful to our flesh. Sometimes it involves suffering. Before we can have the fullness of the glory of God, we as Christians need to ask ourselves whether or not we are really willing to live for Jesus. Are we really willing to pay the cost?

And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast.

Get Over It! (Forgiving & Moving On)

God wants to set you free from the hurts of the past. Paul states in Philippians that forgetting the past is a prerequisite for reaching the great things in the future. This is one reason clinging to the past is so damaging. Failure in this area is probably responsible for more life failures than any other single factor.

Brethren, I do not count myself to have apprehended; but one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind and reaching forward to those things which are ahead.

Budgeting & Money Management

Jesus makes it clear that how we manage the earthly resources that have been given us is very important to God. In fact, He states that if we are faithful in this, which is the very least, we can then be trusted in the true riches of the kingdom. That means managing our finances is essential for our physical and spiritual well being.

He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much. Therefore if you have not been faithful in the unrighteous mammon, who will commit to your trust the true riches?

All believers have faith. The Bible says they do! But many Christians don't realize they do—and they're not using the faith they have. By continually talking about how they don't have faith, they take sides against God, against the Bible, and against themselves, without recognizing what they are doing. How is your faith level? Are you being overcome by the circumstances of life? Is everything around you pulling you down to its level? Then you need to take the time to build your faith level up.

Reaching the Nations: Gathering the End-Time Harvest

There is so much fulfillment of God's Word taking place right now that many believe we are in the final stages of human history and are approaching the ushering in of the Lord Jesus Christ.

Yet all over the world, people live with no sense of direction, without ever hearing the Good News of Jesus Christ. They live and die without ever really knowing the reason for their existence—why they were born and what they're supposed to do with their lives.

This is true of people in every nation, city, and village in the world. It doesn't matter what their country of origin is, what language they speak, or from what financial and political background they've come, human beings want to know why they were placed on this earth. But the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ is on a mission in these last days. We are on a mission to take an inheritance for God and that inheritance is the harvest from the nations!

Understanding the Rapture: The Catching Away of the Church

The age we live in is typically called the “church age” or “the dispensation of the Holy Spirit.” According to the Word, this age will end with something commonly called the Rapture, or the catching away of the church. Jesus will appear in the clouds, and the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are the believing church will rise to meet Him in the air....

Satan & Fallen Angels: The Story of Lucifer
