Oh my gosh, the things we learn. After going to the doctor who said my patella was twisted (which it was), the pain continued to the point I knew something was still going on. It should have abated after she straightened my knee cap out.
After prayer, God lead me to an orthopedic surgeon who discovered my ER x-ray was not a weight-bearing one (i.e., I was sitting with my leg extended on the table versus standing on the leg). After taking a weight bearing x-ray and giving me a free MRI exam, he discovered my cartilage was totally deteriorated (directly attributable to a car accident in 1972). The pain was coming from the bones rubbing together.
Although he was a Christian, he made several horrible confessions over me, "you will never be able to walk on uneven ground again, walk up stairs again, kneel again, sit with your knee bent (you will have to keep it elevated), you will eventually walk with a cane" and on and on. It was enough to cause a total rebellion inside me and I said that "God is a God of healing and I have to believe better than that." While he agreed with me, he did not believe I was facing "reality."
That was three months ago. Understand that everything he spoke over me was actually happening at the time he said it - I wasn't able to walk up or down stairs, on uneven ground, kneel, sit with my knee bent, etc. Once I knew exactly what to pray against and pray for - against my knees wearing out and losing cartilage and for total healing and renewed cartilage - I began immediately confessing my healing for new knees. I am now able to bend my knee, sit with my knee bent (i.e., sit in a chair normally without elevation), walk without a cane, walk up and down stairs (although at this time it is carefully done), and walk on uneven ground without pain. I can also kneel if I a careful. It is an on-going manifestation and I just wanted to come here and give God the glory.
I have been totally pain free for over 2 months now. I even slipped in a hole, twisted the knee and fell the other day - hopped up, confessed, "Thank you God I am healed" and went on with my day - never once feeling one bit of pain. Six months ago, that fall would have sent me to the emergency room. God is so good. I believe I will soon have the before and after x-rays showing total manifestation of new cartilage.
When an eagle is renewed, he knocks his beak off and grows a new one. God promised us He would renew our youth as an eagle consequently, I know He can grow me new cartilage. That's is just one scripture I base my healing on along with the obvious ones (By His stripes I am healed, etc.).
