I remember when my mam went home to be with our Lord, I questioned Father about it because prayers of faith HAD been prayed for her to be healed.
Father give me
2 Corinthians 5:8 We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord. I knew then without doubt that mam had chosen to go.
We just don't see this side of eternity what our loved ones see when they are about to step over.
God does honour our prayers of faith, (if He didn't what would be the point in us praying) He does hear and answer them, but , the will of the person we are praying for is involved. Please read on let me tell you what happened concerning my own mother. Even though we were praying for mam in faith ,it came to light after mam had gone on to be with the Lord ,that ,when our eldest daughter had visited her the day or so before in hospital she had asked her to keep on praying for Grandad (why would she do that ,? she never had asked that before, it is obvious now that she had already made up her mind to go).
And yes, we had all the thoughts "how could mam go like that" .If you knew my mam her family and grandchildren were every thing to her, but like I said before ,we just don't see what our loved ones see as they are about to step over into eternity.
It was Mothers day here in the UK on Sunday. Below is a plaque I made for mam to take up to the cemetery, and although I know mams not there shes with our Lord I believe it's a good witness, I know mam would approve
. It's on A4 size photographic paper then laminated to keep the weather out.Hopefully it will bring comfort to all those who look upon it who's loved ones fell asleep in Jesus.
