Promises to the Righteous 2 NLT

    Promises to the Righteous

    New Living Translation

ISAIAH 3:10  But all will be well for those who are godly. Tell them, “You will receive a wonderful reward!”

PSALMS 5:12 For you bless the godly, O LORD,  surrounding them with your shield of love

PSALMS 34:15,17,19  The eyes of the LORD watch over those who do right; his ears are open to their cries for help…… The LORD hears his people when they call to him for help.  He rescues them from all their troubles. The righteous face many troubles, but the LORD rescues them from each and every one. For the LORD protects them from harm—not one of their bones will be broken!

PSALMS 37:17,18,19,23,24,25,26,30- 40    but the LORD takes care of the godly. Day by day the LORD takes care of the innocent, and they will receive a reward that lasts forever. They will survive through hard times; even in famine they will have more than enough….but the godly are generous givers. Those blessed by the LORD will inherit the land, but those cursed by him will die. The steps of the godly are directed by the LORD. He delights in every detail of their lives Though they stumble, they will not fall, for the LORD holds them by the hand. Once I was young, and now I am old. Yet I have never seen the godly forsaken, nor seen their children begging for bread. The godly always give generous loans to others, and their children are a blessing.28For the LORD loves justice, and he will never abandon the godly. He will keep them safe forever, 29The godly will inherit the land and will live there forever. 30The godly offer good counsel; they know what is right from wrong. 31They fill their hearts with God’s law, so they will never slip from his path. 32Those who are evil spy on the godly, waiting for an excuse to kill them. 33But the LORD will not let the wicked succeed or let the godly be condemned when they are brought before the judge. 34Don’t be impatient for the LORD to act! Travel steadily along his path. He will honor you, giving you the land. You will see the wicked destroyed. 35I myself have seen it happen— proud and evil people thriving like mighty trees. 36But when I looked again, they were gone! Though I searched for them, I could not find them! 37Look at those who are honest and good, for a wonderful future lies before those who love peace. 38But the wicked will be destroyed; they have no future. 39The LORD saves the godly; he is their fortress in times of trouble. 40The LORD helps them, rescuing them from the wicked. He saves them, and they find shelter in him.

Psalms 55:22     Give your burdens to the LORD, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.

Psalms 92:12-15 But the godly will flourish like palm trees and grow strong like the cedars of Lebanon.13For they are transplanted into the LORD’s own house. They flourish in the courts of our God.14Even in old age they will still produce fruit; they will remain vital and green.15They will declare, “The LORD is just! He is my rock! There is nothing but goodness in him!”

Psalms 97:10-11  You who love the LORD, hate evil! He protects the lives of his godly people and rescues them from the power of the wicked. 11Light shines on the godly, and joy on those who do right

Psalms 112  1    Praise the LORD! Happy are those who fear the LORD. Yes, happy are those who delight in doing what he commands.2Their children will be successful everywhere; an entire generation of godly people will be blessed. 3They themselves will be wealthy, and their good deeds will never be forgotten.4When darkness overtakes the godly, light will come bursting in. They are generous, compassionate, and righteous. 5All goes well for those who are generous, who lend freely and conduct their business fairly. 6Such people will not be overcome by evil circumstances. Those who are righteous will be long remembered. 7They do not fear bad news; they confidently trust the LORD to care for them.8They are confident and fearless and can face their foes triumphantly.9They give generously to those in need. Their good deeds will never be forgotten. They will have influence and honor.10The wicked will be infuriated when they see this. They will grind their teeth in anger; they will slink away, their hopes thwarted.

Proverbs 2:7-8  He grants a treasure of good sense to the godly. He is their shield, protecting those who walk with integrity. 8 He guards the paths of justice and protects those who are faithful to him.

Proverbs 3:33 ….his (The Lord’s)  blessing is on the home of the upright.

Proverbs 4:18 The way of the righteous is like the first gleam of dawn, which shines ever brighter until the full light of day

Proverbs 10:2,3,6,10,11,20,21,22,24,25,28,29,30.31  … right living can save your life.3 The LORD will not let the godly starve to death,6 The godly are showered with blessings;11 The words of the godly lead to life; 20 The words of the godly are like sterling silver; the heart of a fool is worthless.21 The godly give good advice… 22 The blessing of the LORD makes a person rich, and he adds no sorrow with it. 24 The fears of the wicked will all come true; so will the hopes of the godly. 25 Disaster strikes like a cyclone, whirling the wicked away, but the godly have a lasting foundation…. 27 Fear of the LORD lengthens one’s life, but the years of the wicked are cut short. 28 The hopes of the godly result in happiness, but the expectations of the wicked are all in vain. 29 The LORD protects the upright but destroys the wicked. 30 The godly will never be disturbed, but the wicked will be removed from the land.31 The godly person gives wise advice, but the tongue that deceives will be cut off. 32 The godly speak words that are helpful, but the wicked speak only what is corrupt.

Proverbs 11:3-6,8-9,21,28,30,31  3 Good people are guided by their honesty; treacherous people are destroyed by their dishonesty.4 Riches won’t help on the day of judgment, but right living is a safeguard against death.5 The godly are directed by their honesty; the wicked fall beneath their load of sin.6 The godliness of good people rescues them; the ambition of treacherous people traps them.7 When the wicked die, their hopes all perish, for they rely on their own feeble strength.8 God rescues the godly from danger, but he lets the wicked fall into trouble.9 Evil words destroy one’s friends; wise discernment rescues the godly..21 You can be sure that evil people will be punished, but the children of the godly will go free…..23 The godly can look forward to happiness, while the wicked can expect only wrath. 24 It is possible to give freely and become more wealthy, but those who are stingy will lose everything. 25 The generous prosper and are satisfied; those who refresh others will themselves be refreshed.27 If you search for good, you will find favor; but if you search for evil, it will find you!28 Trust in your money and down you go! But the godly flourish like leaves in spring…..30 The godly are like trees that bear life-giving fruit, and those who save lives are wise.31 If the righteous are rewarded here on earth, how much more true that the wicked and the sinner will get what they deserve!

Proverbs 12:2,3,6,7,12,13,14,21,28  2 The LORD approves of those who are good, but he condemns those who plan wickedness.3 …… only the godly have deep roots.6 ….. the words of the godly save lives.7  …the children of the godly stand firm.12 …..the godly bear their own fruit.13 The wicked are trapped by their own words, but the godly escape such trouble.14 People can get many good things by the words they say; the work of their hands also gives them many benefits.21 No real harm befalls the godly, but the wicked have their fill of trouble.28 The way of the godly leads to life; their path does not lead to death.

Proverbs 13:6,21,22  6 Godliness helps people all through life, …21 Trouble chases sinners, while blessings chase the righteous!22 Good people leave an inheritance to their grandchildren, but the sinner’s wealth passes to the godly.

Proverbs 14:11   11 The house of the wicked will perish, but the tent of the godly will flourish.

Proverbs 15:6,8,19 6 There is treasure in the house of the godly, but the earnings of the wicked bring trouble..
8 The LORD hates the sacrifice of the wicked, but he delights in the prayers of the upright.19 ….the path of the upright is easy!

STRONG‘S DEFINITION: direct= to be straight or even; to be (causatively to make) right, pleasant, prosperous: - direct, fit, seem good (meet), + please (well), be (esteem, go) right (on), bring (look, make, take the) straight (way), be upright ) Isaiah 45:2  ….I will go before you and make crooked places straight.   Prov 3:6  acknowledge Him and He will direct your path.  Always let him lead you, and he will clear the road for you to follow

Isaiah 26:7 7But for those who are righteous, the path is not steep and rough. You are a God of justice, and you smooth out the road ahead of them.

Proverbs 18:10 10 The name of the LORD is a strong fortress; the godly run to him and are safe.

Proverbs 28:1,10,18 ….. the godly are as bold as lions.10 ….. the honest will inherit good things 18 The honest will be rescued from harm,….

Isaiah 54:9-10,13-17 9 “Just as I swore in the time of Noah that I would never again let a flood cover the earth and destroy its life, so now I swear that I will never again pour out my anger on you. 10 For the mountains may depart and the hills disappear, but even then I will remain loyal to you. My covenant of blessing will never be broken,” says the LORD, who has mercy on you. 13 I will teach all your citizens, and their prosperity will be great. 14 You will live under a government that is just and fair. Your enemies will stay far away; you will live in peace. Terror will not come near. 15 If any nation comes to fight you, it will not be because I sent them to punish you. Your enemies will always be defeated because I am on your side….17 But in that coming day, no weapon turned against you will succeed. And everyone who tells lies in court will be brought to justice. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the LORD; their vindication will come from me. I, the LORD, have spoken!

Isaiah 32:17-18 17 And this righteousness will bring peace. Quietness and confidence will fill the land forever.
18 My people will live in (peaceable habitation) safety, quietly at home. They will be at rest.

STRONG’S DEFINITION: peace and peaceable (same word) = shalom = well, happy, friendly; also welfare, that is, health, prosperity, peace:- favour,+friend,  greet, good health,  perfect, such as be at peace-able,-ably, prosper-ity, -ous, rest, safe -ly,  welfare,  all is, be well,  whole

James 5:16   16 …………. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and wonderful results
