Spirit of Prayer part 7

Spirit of Prayer
Part 7

Acts 2:4 Rom. 8 Eph. 6:12

I. Prayer of Intercession in tongues. (Rom. 8:26-28)
A. The more we pray in tongues the less selfish we become in our praying.
B. Tongues are the gateway (opened door) to the supernatural.
1. Brother Hagin - “Keep tongues as a flowing stream in your life to reach the potential we have in Christ for supernatural praying and for supernatural living.”
2. Brother Hagin - “We cannot neglect the special gift of speaking in tongues.”

II. Holy Spirit is our Helper in prayer
A. Praying in tongues = praying the perfect will of God.
B. The enemy’s strategy is to keep you from praying the perfect will of God.
C. The Holy Spirit helps us to intercede with:
1. Our understanding of the Word/Will of God
2. Our spirit in tongues.
3. Groaning or in travail.
D. Rom. 8:26-27
1. The Greek reads “groanings that cannot be uttered in articulate speech or your native language”
E. The Holy Spirit helps our infirmities.
1. Infirmity = helps our inability or weakness, including a lack of knowledge about how to pray.
F. The Holy Spirit isn’t responsible for YOUR prayer life, YOU are.

III. Charles Finney
A. Charles Finney was known as the man who prayed revival down.
B. You can help lift a spiritual burden like you lift a physical burden.
C. You should always pray until you have a note of praise and victory.

IV. Praying in the Spirit
A. Tongues are an unknown language (to the speaker) but they are also unutterable gushings that come from the Spirit of God.
B. Prayer with your spirit by the help of the Holy Spirit is prayer that is not coming out of your mind but is prayer that is coming out of your spirit.

V. The Holy Spirit helps the believer intercede for others.
A. The Holy Spirit doesn’t pray apart from the believer
1. He gives the utterance but YOU do the praying. (Acts 2: )
B. An important thing in prayer is to depend on the Holy Spirit to help you pray the prayer of intercession.
C. Intercession also means to take the place of another.
D. The Holy Spirit will help you pray the prayer of supplication.
1. The prayer of intercession and supplication can be made for the lost and for the saints.
E. Intercession and supplication in the spirit doesn’t just belong to the preacher, it belongs to every one of us.
F. According to Romans 8:26-27, every believer can expect the help of the Holy Ghost when interceding for others.

Re: Spirit of Prayer part 7

Thanks, I believe the Lord is leading me that way---->

Do you go to Living Word Worship Center in Minnisota? Pastor Mac is Great! I heard him speak here in San Antonio at John Hagee's Night to Honor Israel @ Cornerstone Church....

I just read a book by him for school called "positioned for promotion" it was great.

Thanks again for this website...sorry if i over blogged these last couple days...just trying to build my blog page...is there a way to post on my blog page without it going on the home page? I don't want to clog up the home page in trying to build my blog page...I just want to share the Word... I didn't think my rating it would make a difference as well...

lesson learned...but what is the blog limit for a day?

thanks

No worries. Smile

Hey, here's a hint for you: I see you've got the link to your blog in your Signautre line. That's cool; if you want it to be an actual link, use this http://cg.cfaith.com/blogs/doc

That way it'll be easier for people to click right over to your blog. Make sense? (I mean, from one computer nerd to another? Stick out tongue )

Re: Spirit of Prayer part 7

The reason it probably went to a dating service or whatever is because you don't paste tags into browser address fields; that'll just mess things up. That is for behind the scenes only; it tells the browser to display a link. Does that make sense? Either way, I see you figured it out.

Oh and yes I do go to LWCC...Pastor Mac is an awesome Pastor & leader. Smile

I absolutly love Lynne Hammond! I'd love to follow her around in prayer for a day. I've been praying to be able to visit one day or a week of her prayer sessions. She wouldn't even have to say anything to me! LOL I'd be happy just following her in the Holy Ghost for a few days. That would be a revival for me! She's clear across the country from me, though. I listen to her online live when she preaches for Billye Brim. They do a lot of intercessory praying, and Lynne is an awesome preacher!

Re: Spirit of Prayer part 7

Yes, I agree. I remember one year we went to one of the Believer's Conventions and Lynne Hammond would come out about 30 minutes before the sessions began and we would lead us in prayer for those 30 minutes before both the morning and the evening sessions. It was powerful. God used her to teach me quite a bit about prayer.

Powerful prayer ministry.
