Jesus our Jubilee!

In the Old Testament the blowing of the Shofar was to announce certain events and feasts. In Leviticus 25 we see that before the Year of Jubilee they would first make an atonement on the day of  Atonement, then the sounding of the Shofar to announce the Jubilee with the glad tidings “ye shall return to every man his possession.” This meant that everything that was lost was to be recovered by the one who lost it.

    The year of Jubilee is a type of our redemption in Christ. Through the fall we lost everything. Jesus recovered all through His Atonement. The Gospel is the Trumpet blast to announce that Jesus is our Jubilee. That Jesus recovered All for us. The Gospel of Jesus Christ announces to us that Jesus not only took our sins on the cross but He took our sicknesses as well.

    So as we blow the shofar today we are announcing the good news that “Himself took our infirmities and bore our sickness” that “by Jesus’ stripes we are healed”. Blowing the Shofar today brings our attention to the Cross where our healing was purchased by the Blood of Jesus. Blowing the Shofar today exalts Jesus as our Savior, Healer, Lord, and our Jubilee.

Hi Doc,

Yes.  I bought a 50" shofar a few weeks ago.  I also play trumpet.  The shofar is a great instrument of worship, warfare, and is also a great witnessing tool.

You sure are right about it being used in breakthrough!  It's a blessing to meet you here.

sorry mine is about 34 inches,   If you go to my photo pictures you will see my friend blowing a 50incher, I have never heard anything like it the way he does it... I just give it a Long Loud Blast but he can play it like a trumput, and without a mouthpeice...

 Also in my picture gallery you can see my little shofar it was my first baby, the smaller they are the harder it is to blast...

A prophetess one prophesied over me saying that I am a Shofar... and some other things about my purpose and calling...

Our mouths are like shofars we anounce the Gospel , the Good News of Jesus Christ!

On another note: I received a 10 inch shofat just today from Rod Parsley for being a 2007 Covenant partner... It sounds wonderful...  

It really sounds wonderful?

 I got one alittle smaller than that and its real hard to blow and doesn't sound real good..
