Admin:What is Uru like? I never got into the Myst games really, but I am curious as to how online play works in such a game?
The Myst games are about solving the mystery or puzzle in beautiful environments. They are very "thinky" games without time limits. No one shoots you, you aren't racing a clock, you can play at your own speed. Uru is pretty far along in the saga. If you are interested I would suggest playing the first game Myst initially. It will give you an idea of what it is all about and it is the easiest to solve. These are not "play it in 15 minutes and you're done" kind of games. Myst took me (I'm a little embarrassed) probably 8 months to solve. Keeping in mind several times I got stuck on a puzzle and stopped playing for a few weeks until I had an idea. The series in order goes: Myst (with an updated Real Myst), Riven, Myst 3: Exile, Revelation, Uru, End of Ages. Uru is different, it is designed to be a multiplayer online game, although you can play all of it solo. You can buy the games seperatly, but Game Tap currently offers the first three and Uru along with all their other games for one monthly fee. I have to warn you, people that start playing these games tend to get obsessed with them.
