I would love a feature that allows me to upload music. I'm a song writer and would love to share that part of me as well. I do understand that there are copyright isses and ccli liscence issues, but if there was a way to do it that would be the feature I'd like.

In fact that would be my first choice of something I would like  added. LOL. The Mods could make whatever rules they want but if we could upload  some audio of our choice that would be so awesome! ( Especially to hear your songs and similar things,) even preaching! 

As for a music player for the CFaith site, they are all over the net and can be listened to while on here or doing anything online, and most stations have their own site you can listen live anytime. So that is not what I would be interested in since  some have the music perferred by the one who installed it. I say this just to clarify that what I believe you are saying, (and me,) is different from what some may understand it to be. 

I did see online yesterday something that a person can use to make their own playlists and put on their websites, if I understood it right. I don't know if  you can upload your own but did not really look into it at the time.

Here is an example of what a basic music player could be like: http://bisnut.com/blogs/bisnut/archive/2007/03/21/testing-embedded-media-player.aspx (this is something I built into my personal website, which uses the same software the the CFAITH Communities site uses).

There are a couple issues here: one is storage. We're still not quite big enough where we can feasibly offer the storage space required to host music and video. So if we start out with a player, people are still going to have to find somewhere else to host it.

Anyway, using the player I built into my site, I can activate it by using an [MP3] tag in a post....it would look like this: [mp3]http://bisnut.com/AB/christ_the_rock.mp3[/mp3]. That tag could be placed anywhere in a blog post.

That brings me to the second issue...user friendliness. Not everyone is going to "get" something like this, and until we can have the files hosted on the CFAITH Communities site, it may only be suitable for the techies (er, Jesus Geeks) among us.
