Broken Heart [U] John 3:16... a Healing scripture

Joh 3:16 "For God loved the world so much that He gave His one and only Son, so that everyone who believes in Him will not perish but have eternal life.

If you put John 3:16 back into its context you can see that Jesus is refering to Healing and Deliverance.

Joh 3:14 And as Moses lifted up the serpent in the wilderness, even so must the Son of man be lifted up:

Joh 3:15 That whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have eternal life.

Joh 3:16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

Joh 3:17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.

Jesus was saying as Moses lifted up the serpant...   Lets go back back back  to Numbers 21

Num 21:4 And they journeyed from mount Hor by the way of the Red sea, to compass the land of Edom: and the soul of the people was much discouraged because of the way.

Num 21:5 And the people spake against God, and against Moses, Wherefore have ye brought us up out of Egypt to die in the wilderness? for [there is] no bread, neither [is there any] water; and our soul loatheth this light bread.

Num 21:6 And the LORD sent fiery serpents among the people, and they bit the people; and much people of Israel died.

Num 21:7 Therefore the people came to Moses, and said, We have sinned, for we have spoken against the LORD, and against thee; pray unto the LORD, that he take away the serpents from us. And Moses prayed for the people.

Num 21:8 And the LORD said unto Moses, Make thee a fiery serpent, and set it upon a pole: and it shall come to pass, that every one that is bitten, when he looketh upon it, shall live.

Num 21:9 And Moses made a serpent of brass, and put it upon a pole, and it came to pass, that if a serpent had bitten any man, when he beheld the serpent of brass, he lived.

We see that because of the children of Israel's sin of complaining and murmuring that God allowed serpants to bite them... But we see after their repentance that The Lord gave them Healing to "everyone that believeth"  or everyone that looked at the serpant on the pole did not die but lived... they did not "perish but have life"...

Jesus said that so He must be lifted up (on the cross) that those who look to Him will not die from their sin but live....
as that Serpent represented the punishment of their sin (death) so Jesus became sin and took the punishment of sin (death)

John 3:16 is a True Healing scripture because it heals the source....sin and death and brings Life, eternal Life...
As sinners look to Jesus on the cross and see the punishments of their sins, as they accept the price paid they can receive this miracle Life now - Eternal Life. They can Live and not die...They can be saved (Saved also means Healed)

Remember the Reason for season.... All seasons.... Jesus and what He did for hurting humanity..... share the Good News with people today, let the Love and Compassion of God flow through you today.

Re: John 3:16... a Healing scripture

Thank you and I fully agree my brother in Christ/Messiah.  Our Loving Heavenly Father desires and has already made provision for His Children/ The Church (The Living Body of Christ/Messiah) to be complete and healthy in their Spirit, Soul and Body in this life, through Faith in His Word.

Whereby are given unto us exceeding great and precious promises: that by these ye might be partakers of the divine nature, having escaped the corruption that is in the world through lust. (2 Peter 1:4)

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: (Ephesians 1:3)

And this is the confidence that we have in him, that, if we ask any thing according to his will (His Word), he heareth us: And if we know that he hear us, whatsoever we ask, we know that we have the petitions that we desired of him.  (1John
    5:14-15).

A new commandment I give unto you, That ye love one another; as I have loved you, that ye also love one another By this shall all men know that ye are my disciples, if ye have love one to another (John 13:34-35)
