    No Quotes?

When I "reply" to a person's post I can see the quote. After I post it  only my post shows but not their quote. I was going to edit it and when I click EDIT I  can  see their quote!!  ( only in the process of editing not  after clicking POST)

Has this happened more than once to you? I know it stinks when Admins say this, but I can't seem to reproduce what you are seeing...can you elaborate?

Like I said there is no quote on mine.
My quote where I am explaining the problem is on your reply to me right? But no one's quote shows up on MY reply to them and it should since it does on your and other peoples post. It worked until the changes, this week

    Re: No Quotes?

Are you there? I saw you just a minute ago but now you disappeared.
Ok let me do it this way.
See my post before this one?
It should have this quote of yours on it  but  I will have to copy/paste it.

    {quote}
Has this happened more than once to you? I know it stinks when Admins say this, but I can't seem to reproduce what you are seeing...can you elaborate?
    {end of quote}

But that quote is  not showing up on my post , its only showing my reply to you. Why isn't  your quote on there  ?

This is what its doing on my forum posts   since the websites changed. When I want to reply to a person I click reply and I can see their quote ONLY while I am typing,  but when I click POST their quote  is not showing on my posts

    Re: No Quotes?

All right...this is a known bug in our WYSIWYG editor. The reason it didn't happen to me is because I was using a different one. I have put in a request ticket to the company we bought the software from. As soon as they respond, I will address this. In the meantime, you could use one of the old editors. Go to Edit Profile -> Site Options -> Default Content Editor and choose a different one besides Enhanced-NEW. The quotes are working in the other ones.

    Thanks

I have been using STANDARD since the  ENHANCED came out and old enhanced  does not work for me either .  So which one do I use?

Since the site change there is no quote button on the posts.

The only other one left is PLAIN TEXT

      Now it has

Reply Edit  Contact    at the top but still no quote button

These are the settings I'm referring to: which one do you have selected right now?

    My choices are

     ENHANCED

    STANDARD

    ENHANCED - old

    STANDARD- Old

    PLAIN TEXT

I'm using STANDARD - OLD right now.  PLAIN TEXT would really be blahhh

    Re: No Quotes?

I fixed this quote issue. You'll want to change your editor back to "Standard-NEW" now as the quotes are working fine!

Err...I'm sorry, my bad. The one that should be enabled is "Enhanced-NEW". *Sigh*...maybe I should just have one so people don't get confused. But the quotes are working for you now right?

As you can see above--YES.  If you only had one and some couldn't use it then they would be up a tree!

I'll try the new one again and see if I can use it now . Maybe you got the BUGS outs  !   Smile

    Problems again Admin!

I've had different problems lately again.Today I can't  quote or use smileys.

Yesterday some posts never showed up. The lines go all together continually and don't space for paragrahs even though preview looks right. Edit won't edit. .. on and on. Even after deleting temp files, etc. and  disk cleanup.

I changed from default to the next one down and now to standard,  which is about the same as plain, no colors, no font size, no different faunts.

I really enjoy CFaith but it just becomes a nuisance most times I try to do something or simply won't work right.  I can't even copy paste a smiley like sometimes.

I 'll try using the code  here now and see if it works, altho I don't know many codes  :(

Have you changed something in the last month or so in these areas? ? I have noticed several other changes.

Hmm, haven't changed anything in the editor. I've made some site changes but nothing that would cause the kind of problems you're having.

Not to sound rude or anything, but you seem to be the only one who has these types of strange issues. It leads me to believe that you have a problem on your PC. I am just not able to reproduce the problems that you're having...I'm not sure what to say. Do you happen to know what browser you use to access the Web? Could Faith Guardian or another type of filter be interfering with your connection?
