    Non-Commercial Use Policy Revisited

One of our members noticed another member selling/promoting something in a blog post, and politely asked if this was OK.

Our answer is no. Blogs/forums cannot be used for the purposes of financial gain, whether it be a business, ministry, or anything that you are selling/promoting. We have taken down posts in the past that tried to sell products/services, and we will continue to do so. If you would like to advertise, that's great...see our advertising policy for more info.

We are, however, kicking around the idea of a business networking area of the site. But in the meantime, please do not use the blogs/forums/galleries to try and sell stuff.

Our Terms & Conditions highlights the "Non-commercial use only" policy in detail.

Feel free to reply with questions!

I need to confirm whether or not I am in compliants with your policy.   I am an aspiring photographer.   While the images I post is primarily to share with family, friends and photography enthuiasts to view and comment on.   However, I have shared the link with potential clients to view though I don't actively market the link.   Thanks for your feedback..

Posting pics is fine. If you are sending links to people outside of CFAITH Communities (in other words, not trying to use our membership base to sell stuff) then it's probably OK.

We have these policies in place so that our members can feel comfortable participating in the blogs & forums, without having to worry if it's a sales pitch or not. If you would like to advertise your business, we have very reasonable advertising rates.
