    Culturally Incorrect

Pastor Rod Parsley's newest book, "Culturally Incorrect," is making waves in the publishing industry and in the public square. It's currently on The New York Times' best-seller list

Rod Parsley  vs. secular media......lol, what fun.  Parsley wins hands down.  I'm making his book "Culturally Incorrect"  required reading for my son this school year as he is heading off to college next year.  Well, he's in a JR college now, but still under my teaching at home.  Next year he will be 18 and he will be making more of his own decisions.  So I want him informed about things as much as possible.  Not only that, but he's making a trip to France...ugh... I don't want him picking up any ideas from there...lol

    Re: Culturally Incorrect

"Silent no more" book is a good one along those lines as well for education. My mother in law is a retired school teacher and she was amazed at what she read in "Silent No More" because the education system today is not correct... its a great book "Silent No More".

"Culturally Incorrect" is the "part 2" of "Silent No More"...

Pray for Rod Parsley as he takes a stand for Truth in this nation and sends (by God's Spirit) a Spiritual Shock wave and Wake Up Call to America and the American Christian and sinner alike...

I will pray for your son too...

    Re: Culturally Incorrect

I didn't know that "Silent No More" was part 1.  Thank you so much for telling me.  I can do Part 1 for the first semester and part 2 for the second semester.
Yes, I will pray for Bro. Parsley...and thank you for the prayers for my son, that means everything to me.  I don't take that lightly.  It's an amazing thing to pray for someone, it's no small thing.
I hear everyday somebody on TV (usually a newscast person) and they will say "my heart and prayers go out for you" when they are talking about some terrible incident.  I always wonder if they actually do pray for the people.  More than likely, it's just something "nice" to say.

lol...Boy did I take a detour on this subject.

    Re: Culturally Incorrect

If you are a fan of Christian television and talk radio, then you know that conservative viewpoints are very well and ably represented on the airwaves. According to Oklahoma Sen. James Inhofe, Sens. Hillary Clinton and Barbara Boxer want a "legislative fix" for that situation. They are seriously talking about legislating what you and I will and will not hear on the public airwaves.

They seek the reinstatement of the so-called "Fairness Doctrine," which was struck down more than a decade ago because of its serious constitutional issues.

On the surface, the "Fairness Doctrine" sounds like a good thing. It's not. When it was the policy of the Federal Communications Commission, its purpose was to provide for the airing of many different viewpoints concerning controversial issues.

In practice, it prevented broadcasters from covering these issues at all. You can imagine what this would do to Christian radio and TV: groups supporting radical Islam and Satanism could all demand equal airtime, and programs like ours could be shoved right off the airways!

I need your help to combat this dangerous ideology, and we can do it by supporting the Broadcaster Freedom Act.

This bill has been introduced in both the House of Representatives (H.R. 2905) and the Senate (S. 1748). If passed, it will forbid the FCC from reinstating the Fairness Doctrine or any similar measures.

We must make sure our representatives and senators in Congress understand the importance of supporting the Broadcaster Freedom Act.

    Re: Culturally Incorrect

Our country is engaged in a great civil war in the hearts and minds of its citizens. It is a war of competing, mutually exclusive ways of viewing the universe and mankind's place in it.

It is a clash of paradigms, of value systems, of visions for the future. The question is whether we will fight for what is right or slink passively into irrelevance.

If you believe in the sanctity of human life, the biblical definition of marriage - if you believe in a God who holds men accountable for their actions - then you are not just POLITICALLY INCORRECT, you are CULTURALLY INCORRECT.

    Re: Culturally Incorrect

I haven't read it but even though I didn't know exactly what it all  meant I knew I was politically incorrect and culturally incorrect because God's ways and societies ways are just the opposite.

For quite some time now  I have been very disturbed that many in the church do not feel there is a need to have  a wedding to call it a marriage.  No It seems whatever laws are passed on the coast move on into the rest of the states. We really need to do something about it. And with the other things they have been voting on lately we won't even be able to mention it in our pulpits, much less on here or  any public place.

    Re: Culturally Incorrect

I have a friend who I met at Jacksonville Master's Commission here in Arkansas who is actually from Canada.  His father, a pastor in Canada, now faces the possibility of being fined for preaching against same-sex marriage in his own church.  It is sad to see all these happening and I am interested in reading this book.

My Mother told me not too long ago about a bill trying to be passed as an attachment to Bush's appropriations bill which had something to do with funding for troops in the middle-east.  Apparently, this bill, which Arkansas senator Blanche Lincoln co-signed, would classify speaking against homosexuality as a hate crime.  My first thought was how this bill would effect the numerous ministries out there whose focuses are on helping people out of the homosexual lifestyle.  The Enemy has great pride in how successful this weapon of is has become and he would do anything to protect it.  I know this is a bit off topic, but I believe we should lift these ministries like Exodus International and Regeneration up in prayer that God would protect and keep them during these trying times.

    Re: Culturally Incorrect

Really it's not off topic. "Culturally Incorrect".

There are two places I know you can   go and we all should immediately since these things can be voted on any day. There have been at least 2 hate crime bills for awhile that would take away our right of  freedom of speech, and make it illegal  to preach the gospel on this subject, even as far as not being able to even quote several scriptures. Plus not  mentioning certain words and phrases  even in many  public places, like  the words " man and woman",  for instance.

I have lost track of the Bill # of another one which keeps changing where,  Senator Kennedy was attaching a hate crimes bill  of this nature to one  to support the troops, thinking those who support them wouldn't vote against it.

But here are the  other two. Take action by calling  or E-mailing your senators.
