    Run The Race

Just because a person smokes! Or drinks to excess or is over weight, or what ever addictions they are hooked on, It doesn’t mean he or she is going to hell. It means he or she is slowly destroying his or her body, it’s his or her choice. Every one sins every day Christians and non Christians we all sin .So do we all go to hell now NO!

    Jesus said ---
(Joh 14:6 - Jesus said unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father,
    but by me.)
So we must invite JESUS into our life and make Him our Lord and Savior.
Thank God for His grace and mercy. That’s all we have do is Repent and say I’m sorry Lord help me to change,
(REPENT - means to turn around to change direction To stop doing what we were doing before we gave our life over to Him).

Why? - BECAUSE! - Because Why?
Why should we repent for anything if we don't desire to change in some way?
It’s because the Holy Spirit within us, gives us the desire to change .To imitate Christ,

(Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me).
This is His Body – His Life - His Calling - His Ministry - His Kingdom - Its all His,
    Everything. I own nothing!

Why because JESUS went to the Cross for my sins. I don't deserve what JESUS has given me.
But thank God He lets me live in a house - He lets me have a car - He lets me look after two of His children – He lets me have a job - He supplies all of my needs - He has healed me and bore my pain and washed me clean - He lets me share His Good News. Why so I could continue to do what I did before I got saved.

I don’t think so; I just can’t see this point.
His Son JESUS! The King of Kings and Lord of Lords on the Cross so I could do what the world is doing.

I’m not there by any means, I’m so far behind the lead runners that all I see is there dust. Their sweat and blood is mixed in with the dirt that chokes me. I just pray that I can run the race to the end and say to Jesus. Thank You JESUS for letting me try to walk as you walked ,even though I made more mistakes than I could ever count and you forgave me for all of them and you still let me try and try and try again and again. Thank you Lord JESUS.

We can’t judge anyone for their walk .How can we with the sins of our own that we repent for daily. We must work out our own salvation with fear and trembling the same as everyone else, that’s the choice God gave us all .
But praise God ! I’m going to try to walk as He shows us to walk .We are not of this world .
Yes we live in it, But we do not have to be conformed to it.

    Blessings from Pastor David Hoad

    Re: Run The Race

    Dear Pastor David,

After reading your mail, I am edified. I’m an undergraduate and an athlete. I am academically intelligent but not spiritual.

The year is coming to an end; I’d done well in my study but failed in my spiritual walk. Besides, I’m running with a bunch (whom the church will never accept), drinking away, making merry, consuming dangerous substances, involving in risky activities.

I’d nightmares in receiving an overall performance report “W” – zero “withdrawal” from GOD’s angels. In the paper GOD remarked: “spiritually inactive & too worldly”.

You state: We can’t judge anyone for their walk. I believe GOD won’t judge me for that as long I run the race for the year 2008.

Thx Ada (from Singapore) Dec 19, 2007
