I just joined and wanted to know if there is anyone in the site that has any information on the following:

 

I would like to become a counselor to help others with life's issues, but I want my counseling to have a spiritual foundation. If there is anyone out there who is already a counselor or knows where I can go to find information on this subject and/or what would be the best school to attend for a working professional...I would greatly appreciate your feedback.

Hello Carmen,

 

there are many schools out there...... of course counseling without the Bible is useless... it is our spiritual foundation.

 

I chose to get my counseling equipping from www.AACC.net    at the Light University..

 

I still do continuing education with them...

 

I am a Board Certified Pastoral Counselor.... 

 

They have many great courses on marriage... family.... Caring for People God's Way... Caring for Teens God's Way... Caring for children God's Way... Breaking Free...   I learned alot...and use what I learned daily as a minister... chaplian/pastor...etc... as well as using it in my daily life in my marriage, family, children...

 

Joyce Meyers as well as many others are involved with AACC  (American Association Of Christian Counselors)
