Praise God Cassandra!
I didn't grow up with my dad and he had not seen me since I was about 6 months old., and all my life I yearned to meet him. As I was growing up, my mom would say, I need to try to find your father so you can meet him, but it never came to fruition. I longed all my life to be able to meet him. When my mother was retiring, the Social Security administration telephoned her and began to give her lots of information on a younger brother of mine, but naturally, they would not give her any information.
One year, when it was time to place one of my daughters in kindergarten we registered her for school. Well, the first day of school there were two kindergarteners who missed the school bus, and both myself and the mother of this other child ended up at the school at the same time. This caused these two little girls to become friends. One day, I had taken my daughter Freesia over to visit Nicole and as they played, Nicole's mom and I sat and chatted, and somehow we began discussing last names.
I happened to tell her that I used to get teased because of my last name as a child and she asked me what it was. I told her Hobson. She said that her cousin was married to a guy whose last name was Hobson. I said oh, interesting. Well, my Father's name was Timothy. She then told me that her cousin's husband was named Timothy. After some discussion, we realized that her cousin was married to my brother...the same one that they had telephoned my mother about.
Well, we met and through him, I was able to finally get a chance to meet my dad.
One of my favorite Scriptures is Psalm 37:4 - Delight thyself also in the LORD: and he shall give you the desires of your heart.
Praise God Cassandra...may this be a time of great fellowship and healing for everyone involved.
