I am trying to change my profile, add a avatar.

I have gone through the steps on Edit Profile. Step 4 does not appear on my computer as shown, but My Pictures appears with the avatar I want.

I click on the picture then open, click update, but the message "Your profile has been updated" never appears, so I don't click on "save changes".

As you can see I am not too computer savvy.

Help someone. I am trying NOT to be so BORING as has been stated in the profile section!

I have tried several times to update my profile, add pic (avatar) to my profile. Cannot trasfer avatar to profile.

Hi Jack,

Sorry for the late response. We recently just found ourselves short-staffed here.

Are you getting any error messages to speak of?

Dear Mr. Jamc,

Kindly; check on these following; both columns (upload Avatar & Avatar URL) have to be blanked; in order to input a picture. After you chose your picture, click the key update. Follow with the final step save.

Thanks for input on avatar problem.

I did as Ada suggested, same thing, I cleared the Avatar URL, didn't help. I don't get any error messages. Step 4, after I click browse I don't have the same display, ie--My pictures appear, this is where I downloaded the avatar too.

Anyway I have the avatar on my desktop too so after I click browse and my pictures appear, I click desktop, click on the avatar, then open, then update. The page RECYClES, but I never get "Your profile has been updated. I have tried step 4 both ways, pictures & desktop.

Hope you all can make sense of this, thanks.

Dear Mr Jack,

I tried on my Avatar a few times. I experienced; the same problem you had. You are doing fine; and did it correctly. The secret is; click the update button two times to get the pictures we wanted.

Hey Ada, thanks lady for input.

I finally got the avatar updated, first let me explain what I did. As Ada suggested I cleared the Avatar URL of numbers/wirting, clicked browse, chose picture, clicked update twice, then I waited for the message to appear in step 6 of instructions, message did not appear. So instead of waiting for the message to appear I clicked SAVE CHANGE, as you can see it worked! Then the message "Your profile has been updated appeared.

Maybe the reason for the problem is the avatar I chose. This picture hangs in our church kitchen by the coffee pot. A sign that reads something like I have had too much coffee, or I need my caffeine fix, any how, I am a coffee hound, in this case a cat!

I am really a dog person, don't have any pets at present.

This cat is one homely DUDE (the avatar), but I think he is great!

Hey Ada,

see you changed your profile from that nice KITTY and I chose a not so pretty cat.

Your kitty cat is so cute! I luv it! It looks like a cat that just had a cup of caffeine beverage.
