    Entertainment, Media, and Hobbies

The forum for Entertainment, Media and hobbies has areas to post called Hobbies, Laughter and Games: where are the Entertainment and Media subsections?

My suggestion is for a place to discuss entertainment; ie movies, music, fiction books etc...

    thanks

    Re: Entertainment, Media, and Hobbies

I really enjoy movies, although it's sometimes difficult to find ones without all of the garbage.  Occasionally I do and recently we saw We Are Marshall with Matthew McConaughey which was very good.   The Ultimate Gift was also outstanding, as well as Facing The Giants.

Unfortunately, these movies are too few and too far between.  Alas, this week, I was reduced to Underdog.  I used one of my Granddaughter's as an excuse to watch it, but it brought back memories of my childhood as this was one of my favorite Saturday morning cartoons back in the day.  As I was singing the theme song at the end, my son just looked at me and shook his head.

Anyway, has anyone seen any good "grown up" movies that they would like to through out?

If you don't mind "old" movies, I have a whole list for you!

And if you go on amazon.com, you can read what they are about. Or, you could ask me about the ones that you are interested specifically.

Let me know if you want the list!

24You will guide me with Your counsel, and afterward receive me to honor and glory.

26My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the Rock and firm Strength of my heart and my Portion forever.
27For behold, those who are far from You shall perish; You will destroy all who are false to You and like [spiritual] harlots depart from You.
28But it is good for me to draw near to God; I have put my trust in the Lord God and made Him my refuge, that I may tell of all Your works.

    Hey Tzeitel,

I absolute like old movies.  John Wayne, (my favorite), Eddie G, Humphrey Bogart, Lauren Bacall, Barbara Stanwyck, Fred McMurray.  This is the era that I grew up in.  I'm 56 so believe me, I'm well aware of these movies.  But I also like new movies.  I really like action movies.  I was just able to go see the new National Treasures movie.  I'm waiting for Leatherheads, because it looks really good.  They are about to release the 2nd Chronicles of Narnia movie - Prince Caspian.  I really enjoyed Batman Begins.  Deja Vu was a really good movie.  But, there are movies that I would like to see but can't because of the content.  That's all I was saying.

So....tell me, what are some of your favorite movies.
