    Soulwinning

I wanted to start this discussion and ask for you to share some soulwinning tools and tips, failures and successes. If you are a New Creation in Christ - you are called to the Ministry of Reconciliation - God has committed to YOU the Word of Reconciliation - Jesus said if you follow Him He would make you a Fisher of Men... Please tell us of how you are trying to fulfill this ministry God has given you.

Here is a link to the 4 spiritual Laws in YOUR LANGUAGE.

I encourage you to memorize this in your native language and share it with others.

    Re: Soulwinning

Is all because of DAD; HIS luv gave us a sense of belonging.  We are HIS.   Therefore; I dare boldly say these words.  Since HE luv us so much; we are so blessed to be HIS children.  The more we should share out thoughts of HIM and HIS good news. (我與人將分享耶穌) I will share Jesus with people.

We should be making a point; to share the gospel with people; who cross our path of life.  And I'm sure it's not a coincidence people cross our path.  All need GOD-the pillar of their hope; faith and luv.

    Re: Soul-winning

The best advice I can give is TRUST God completely to lead you to the person, and to give you perfect instruction and anointing to say exactly what needs to be said to that person.

It doesn't always require a long drawn out sermon to reach someone for Christ, complete honesty is a very special requirement that MUST never ever be forgotten.

God also does not require that you have the entire Bible memorized word for word either, even if you have NEVER read ONE verse, IF God sends you to witness to someone and there arises a need for you to quote a scripture God is well able to fill YOUR mouth with HIS word!

Believe me when I say sinners KNOW if you are truly sincere  when you say you really care about their souls or if you are just another prissy Church member out to reach some monthly church witnessing quota!

I know for I was once one of the worst of the worst sinners and I had more than one Pastor or church group come to my home to witness to me, and more than once I scared more than one Pastor and church group away very violently and very often with extreme hostilities and even more extreme vulgar cursings!

    BUT GOD!

    Example:

Once a few years back my wife and I had attended a revival service at a church that was about 40 miles from were we live in Arkansas.

We had planned on stopping at the brand new Wal Mart that had just been completed in our home town (Greenwood Arkansas) and on the way there there were also 4 additional Wal Marts that we could have just as easily stopped at, BUT we heard the Holy Spirit very strongly instruct us to travel to a Wal Mart in Poteau Oklahoma which was about 60 miles from where we had attended the revival.

We obeyed the voice of God and went to Poteau praying all the way for God to reveal to us exactly why he had instructed us to go there.

On the way we heard God tell us that when we got there we would meet a tall young thin dark haired man and he would be the one that God had sent us to.

We got to the Wal Mart in Poteau Oklahoma and started walking around in the store looking for this tall thin young dark haired man that we knew God had sent us to minister to.

We did have more opportunites to minister to others in the store, but none resembled in anyway the young man we felt God had described to us, finally feeling a little frustrated and yet also satisfied that we had obeyed Gods direction we started toward the front of the store.

Just as we turned into the last aisle before we would be in the front of the store about fifty feet ahead of us a tall thin young dark haired man turned and stepped into the same aisle and began to walk toward us, we both knew immediately that this was certainly the young man God had been speaking to us about earlier that night!

He was 16 years old and he lived about fifty miles in the other direction from that Wal Mart and he said that there were also other Wal marts that were MUCH closer to his own home than this one was but for some reason he had feltt he needed to come to this particular Wal Mart and even though he could not understand why he had.

We spoke to the young man for a short time probably less than fifteen minutes sharing with him how God had instructed us to come there and how God had told us that we would meet a tall thin dark haired young man that God wanted us to minister to.

He was absolutely amazed, but more than this he was touched by the sincerity of our hearts towards him and especially our absolute total honesty with him about the love of Christ for him.

The young man gave his heart and life to Jesus right there in that Wal mart store!

Afterward he shared with us with tears in his eyes that his own mother and father and all of his Grandparents were all Christians and they had all been trying for a long time to get him to go to church with them but he had always refused, then he smiled and said he would wake his mom and dad up as soon as he got back home and tell them what had happened to him.

I don't know about any of you but I am absolutely certain there was probably just as much celebration in that young mans home that night and at his Grandparents homes when their son and daughter called them and told them what had happened that night to their Grandson as there had certainly been when he gave his life to Jesus there in the aisle of that Wal mart that night!

IF God says go, just GO he will take care of everything else!

Thank you Michael thats Awesome, please tell us more of your advice, experiences and even failures in soulwinning... Its good to learn from each other the "Do's" and the "Don't's"

I know we all have a Great Responsibility as Christ's Ambassedors and don't want to mis-represent Him or His Kingdom...

I know when I first got saved and filled with the Holy Spirit I scared sinners away from Christ - out of ignorant zeal. Its good to have some basic training before we go, But of course we do not have to have a Phd to witness - Phd just means "Post Hole Digger"  lol..
but of course there is nothing wrong with being a Post Hole Digger - I worked as a custodian cleaning toilets for a time..

but as far as sharing Jesus effectively we all should receive some basic training in order to grow the Kingdom of God... how will they hear without a preacher (someone to tell them) (Romans 10:17- )

I also think we need to share the Word of God to them without compromise - "The Law of God converts the soul" (psalms ?)

Doc please don't take this wrong but I have never felt  that I have or for that matter ANYONE has EVER once failed in any situation of witnessing to someone about Jesus.

The reason I say this is because GOD always has total victory in every witnessing situation regardless of the persons response to the witness.

The Apostle Paul said: I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. (1st Corinthians 3:6)

This is something I believe every believer ought to take into account before they ever step out to witness to anyone, regardless of how the person responds the witness is ALWAYS a victory!

    Here's a very good example.

I went to witness to a young lady with a group from a church my wife and I were members over 12 years ago.

When we got to the trailer park where she lived and walked up to her trailer a young blonde haired girl  probably about 15 or 16 came storming angrily out the front door screaming curse words back into the trailer slamming the door so hard we thought she had surely broken it off it's hinges!

After we were invited in by another young woman one young manin our group began to share his personal testimony with her (he knew her from school) and we all sat there praying silently as he witnessed to her.

His wife had taken up watching over the meal  that the young woman had been preparing for her family that evening, that's another very important thing to remember, it won't hurt if needed for someone to step up and do some 'House-Work' for the family you might be witnessing to, even if it means washing a few dirty dishes!

During the time that our friend was witnessing to the young woman the girl who had stormed out of the house cursing came back in and went immediatel to the television there in the same room and turned it on and turned the volume up as loud as it would go attempting to defeat any efforts we were making to witness to her older sister.

But to our young friends credit he said nothing bad about what she had done but continued with his witness to the older sister, after the younger sister finally realized her attempts to defat our witness tom her sister were NOT going to succeed, she stoop up angrily and slammed her fist against the televison cursing again turning it off stormed out of the room cursing all the way across the room to the front door slamming it just as hard as she had when we first arrived there and left.

Not too long after  she had left our friend completed his witness and asked the young woman he had just spoken to if she would like to receive Jesus into her life as her Lord and savior, and with tears in her eyes she said yes I would.

He began to pray with her and we all stood there silently with our eyes closed as he prayed with her.

As we stood there silently I suddenly felt a gentle tug on my shirt sleeve, and there standing next to me with huge crocodile tears streaming down her face was the young girl who had cursed so loudly and so angrily when we had first arrived there, the same young girl who had tried so hard to keep us from witnessing to her older sister.

She looked into my eyes and cried out please I want what she's getting right now, so we prayed with her as well and two were gained into the family of God that evening!

The enemy may try to defeat GODS purpose but he can NEVER overcome GODS purpose that is why in spite of everything that may be going on around us we MUST stand and not faint for we will reap in due season if we faint not.

God gave me what I believe is a very good acronymn for the word STAND last night during our church service:

    Stand Tenaciously And Never Doubt!

Prayer is always the very best weapon for the most successful witnessing situations, prayer before, prayer duirng, and prayer after.

OH and about the PHD thing Doc I never finished high school in fact I actually stopped learning BY choice during the 4th grade.

I was feeling sorry for myself a few years ago because my two younger brothers and my younger sister had all graduated with degrees from the Univeristy of Arkansas and I didn't even have a high school diploma much less a B.A. or a B.S. o0r a Masters or a PHD.

Then suddenly the Holy Ghost rose up in me and said but wait you have ALL of these!

You've Been Saved  (B.S.)  and you've been Born Again (B.A.) and you have certainly been touched by the 'Master' and you Praise Him Daily (PHD).

Amen Michael! It doesn't take a Phd or a Bible Scholer to share the Gospel. By the way Michael You have a very interesting Testimony - you should write a book about your life - people would find it very interesting how God has brought you this far.

every time we share the Word it is not a failure./.. His Word will not return void..

    God's Ministry towards lost souls

Since the beginning God had a ministry of Reconciliation. Since the Beginning God had a ministry to reach out to the lost and dying humanity.. Ever since man sinned in the garden, God ministered to him with the purpose of reconciling... God approached a sinner and said "Where art thou?"

The Holy Spirit began His ministry of convicting the world of sin, righteousness and of judgment (John 16:7-11). In the ages before the flood God had a ministry to the lost, in every dispensation, as long as there is a lost sinner God will continue His ministry to them...

God is not willing that they perish but that they should come to repentance (2 Peter 3:9)

Noah repented and found Grace/Favor in the eyes of the Lord (Gen. 6:8)

God's ministry of reaching out to the lost will continue today through His People with His Spirit - the church - The Lord Jesus Christ gave His people a Great Commission and the Ability to fulfill that Commission. Yet today 95% of the church membership have never won a soul to Christ...

If those 95% have God's Spirit in them then they should have a concern and a Love and Compassion - a passion towards the lost.

Many of the church today (95%) are more concerned about themselves, their positions and reputation. Our Bible says from the mouth of Jesus that if we are ashamed of Him than on the day of Judgment He will be ashamed of us...

God has Given US HIS MINISTRY of reconciliation (2 corin. 5:17-21) He has committed to us His Word of Reconciliation. We are accountable and responsible to share this Word - the Good News - to the lost.

The Gospel is Good News, - its the Good News of Christ and what He did to reconcile us to God and His Blessings... Reconciliation means: to be restored back to the Favor of God...

Lets get busy sharing the Good News.

By the way Michael You have a very interesting Testimony - you should write a book about your life - people would find it very interesting how God has brought you this far.

Doc it's actually very ironic that you should mention this because I actually HAVE written a book about my life the title is "Daddy! Daddy!

I wanted to express as best as I could from my heart, through my testimony of my own Reconciliatuion with my earthly "Daddy"  the wonder of mans reconciliation with our heavenly "Daddy" through Jesus Christ.

I have two copies of  the completed manuscript in separate manila envelopes lying on a shelf in my bedroom closet, I just haven't had the courage to submnit one to a publisher.

I never learned anything while in school and I'm afraid the grammar will be so awful they'll just chunk it in the nearest trash can and NOT even bother to send a reject slip......

    Soul-winning

Sometimes we as Christians get so spooky Spiritual (Creflo Dollar calls them Spooky Christians) so deep we are stuck and useless.

When it comes to sharing the Gospel - we cannot wait for a "revelation"  or any other spiritual experience before we share the Gospel.

God has already given us His Word - He has already made us accountable and soon we will be judged by what we did with it.

Lets not let souls pass us by without we trying to share with them. Don't wait for God to speak to you in a Dream or prophecy - He has already spoken to YOU.

    Re: Soul-winning

Being a SoulWinner is just the same as being a salesperson. You want to present the people the benefits, and also the dangers of doing without the item you are selling.

If you can go door to door selling vacuumes or Mary Kay, why can't you go door to door presenting Jesus?

But when dealing with Eternity and matters of the Heart and the Reality of Hell  - Our Passion to Present Christ to people should be far more greater.

Tell me what do you say to people to "break the Ice" before you start sharing Christ. I find that the hardest, but with some good ideas from the Faith Community I will get over it with your advice,...

    please can someone help me?

Don't force anyone to pray with you one of my favorite qoutes is from Keith Green "If I can talk someone into Christ, Someone else can talk them out of Christ".  Don't debate, the Bible talks about this issue.  And I never get offended if someone doesn't want to talk, No man can come to God, least they are called.  And if they reject me it's very sad for them because it's not me they are rejecting but Jesus.  So I just dust the dirt of my feet and continue on.  I hope this helps you.
