Hi everyone please say hello to Destiny Grace
Ephesians 3:2o
Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think....
On the 15th January 12.15am the phone call came... with the words, mam could you come over now please I think something is happening. We arrived at our daughters home within 15 minutes. Hayley (our daughter) had already phoned the hospital before we got there seeking advice because she was getting tightening/pains but wondered if it may be those pre tightening's that happen in the latter stages of pregnancy (I believe they are called Hicks , any one know , I think I got it right, anyway....) The hospital advised Hayley to come in (remember the Consultant had wanted to see Hayley on the 15th of January 9.30am with the intention of admitting Hayley and inducing the birth 2 weeks early because of the warfarin medication she has been on , so that , when babe decided to put in an appearance the birth could be closely monitored). Well here we were alright the 15th of January , just nine hours earlier than the Consultant had intended to see Hayley
. Any way Hayley and Adam (that's Hayleys husband) left for the hospital. They arrived about 1.am and at 1.45am I got a picture /text sent to my phone with a picture of Hayley already sat up nursing Destiny Grace. The whole labour was only around two hours. The midwife who attended Hayley asked her to try and hold onto baby as they had to dash down a long corridor to reach the delivery suite but told them not to worry because if it came to it she wouldn't be the first baby delivered in the hospital car park. Well they just made it to the delivery suite , two puffs of gas and air and Destiny Grace made her appearance into the world. That's how we prayed guys remember a smooth delivery.
Hayley was set to come home around 12pm dinner time that same day , normal delivery so that was the plan so that she could be back home with young Andrew( remember I was saying she was thrilled at the thought of meeting her new daughter but at the same time feeling apprehensive at leaving Andrew , he just turned two in December and hes all for his mum ) so she wanted to be back home with him as soon as possible). Well I sterilized all the bottles etc waiting for my daughter and granddaughter to arrive home thenI got a phone call from Hayley still at the hospital... Mam she says , I won't be home until at least Friday , they are saying.... They think Destiny may have a serious medical condition which if it is what they think it may be it would mean she will be on medication twice a day for the rest of her life or become very ill, but, because this condition is so rare they won't discuss it with me yet just incase they are wrong so as not to worry me. Worry her , how could they do that, just throw something like that out there and leave her mind to work overtime! I needn't tell you how distraught Hayley was , you can imagine, as for me I was feeling so frustrated , I wanted to be with my daughter , to hold her and comfort her, but because I had to be at home looking after our other grandsons for Hayley and Adam I did the most important thing, prayer and thanks giving!. I set to work in thanks and prayer to Father God that Destiny was whole and strong!. In Jesus Name one by one I took authority over Destinys blood pressure , sugar levels , internal organs etc , infact every thing the hospital thought there may be a problem with . The hospital continued their long series of tests on Destiny with a body scan , loads of blood tests , blood pressure readings, urine samples, on and on....Every one one of them as come back normal! Glory to God , thank you Jesus. We should have the final blood results some time this week , and I'm expecting that to be normal also.
For you my precious sisters who have contacted me, thank you , I really love you guys , you are such special friends too me ,you know who you are, thank you for your love ,care and support and I will get back too you soon but right now I'm still back and fore Hayleys helping out where I can , but , I want you to know you are often in my thoughts and prayers.
And here at long last are some pics guys, sorry for the delay , but I was at Hayleys all last week while she was in hospital, and, of course since shes been home you know how it is , this grandmother just got to spend time with her new grand baby getting all them cuddles in.
Talk about roll reversal - I thought mum was the one supposed to be tired after giving birth- may be some one should tell that to Dad
.
This is young Andrew (just got up) soooooo cute , dropped one of his pacifiers in Destinys cot in exchange for one of hers lol.
