You know, Jesus got away to pray to His Father and to have fellowship with Him. We read about this in His Word. But I got a real revelation last year about how you never see him praying for anyone who was sick or handicapped or dead or anything else. HE SPOKE!
HE COMMANDED! He used His power and authority and COMMANDED and SPOKE what needed to be done and IT WAS DONE! That spoke LOADS to me. When this "hit" me, BOY......was it life changing. Yes Jesus prayed, but when He was alone with His Father. But when He went about doing good destroying the works of the enemy, HE SPOKE to the problem, the situation, the issue, the circumstance, and COMMANDED what need to be COMMANDED! And IT WAS DONE! Just look at all those miracles, healings, and even when He raised Lazarus up, He did not pray the prayer we probably would have but He did look up and he said (not prayed)....Father, I thank You that you have heard Me. Yes, I know You always here and listen to Me, but I have said this on account of and for the benefit of the people standing around, so that they may believe that You did send Me [that You have made Me Your Messenger]. (this was right after He said to Martha, Did I not tell you and promise you that if you would believe and rely on Me, you would see the glory of God?)....
I really got a revelation of this last year and I started "doing it" and BOY! Did it ever make a difference. I beileve this is what we are to do because Jesus did it and He is our example. It sure has changed the way I minister to folks. I have seen creative miracles and so much more doing this. It is extremely powerful. And Jesus did it this way and we are to immitate Jesus. We have been given this power and authority.
Luke 10:19 says this....Behold! I hve given you authority and power to trample upon serpents and scorpions, and [physical and mental strength and ability] over all the power that the enemy possesses]; and nothing shall in any way harm you.
Hope this helps and encourages us all to go out and do those things that Jesus did and even GREATER things! Glory to God!
Love, Hugs, and Blessings to you all!
