    How To Tell The Weather

To use an old adage—It is raining Cats and Dogs here in Mid Missouri! The past six months mark Missouri’s wettest Dec to May period on record. Precipitation across the State has averaged just over 30 inches for this period.

That brings to mind a joke, one I am sure most are familiar with: “How To Tell The Weather”.

To tell the weather, Go to your back door and look for the dog.

If the dog is at the door and he is damp, it's probably raining. But if the dog is standing there soaking wet, it is probably raining really hard.

If the dog's fur looks like it's been rubbed the wrong way, it's probably windy.

If the dog has snow on his back, it's probably snowing.

Of course, to be able to tell the weather like this, you have to leave the dog outside all the time, especially if you expect bad weather.

          Sincerely,

          The CAT

Re: How To Tell The Weather

I watched a special, I believe it was Friday evening, about Cats, and what country they came from originally. They took DNA from cats in 33 countries. They decided the Fertile Crescent, see picture (hope it copies) was their origin. I believe the Garden of Eden is within this area. They found a 3000 year old human mummy that had a cat buried with it.
The Fertile Crescent is a crescent-shaped region in the Middle East incorporating the Levant, Ancient Mesopotamia, and Ancient Egypt, known as the "Cradle of Civilization." The term "Fertile Crescent" was coined by University of Chicago archaeologist James Henry Breasted, around 1900. The region was named the "Fertile Crescent" because of its rich soil and half-moon shape. The Fertile Crescent was divided into 1) the eastern portion, consisting of the Tigris and Euphrates river valleys, called Mesopotamia (land between the rivers), and 2) the western, or Mediterranean, portion.
Don't you wonder what Noah named his cat?

    Jack.....

    I think Noah named his cat....Noahcat, for "Know-a-cat."  :-)

Really "knowing" a cat is very special which Scotte316   will testify to.   People who don't like cats
really don't KNOW cats.   That is why one animal trainer said, "I can teach a cat to do anything
I can teach a dog to do!"  You mean even retrieve?!   Absolutely...some breeds of cats are "born
retrievers," just like some breeds of dogs are natural retrievers.

So you see Noah....knew his cats!!!!!   (lol)
